Cheesy Broccoli and Rice Casserole Recipe

★Ingredients

3 cups cooked rice

2 cups fresh broccoli florets (lightly steamed)

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

1 cup cooked chicken (optional, shredded or diced)

1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup sour cream

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

★Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, steamed broccoli, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, soup, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, and onion powder. Add salt and pepper to taste. If using chicken, mix it in at this stage.
  3. Assemble Casserole: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly and top with the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.
  4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
