Chicken (or tuna) casserole with cream and peas with a crunchy breadcrumb coating

★Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken (or 1 can of tuna), shredded

2 cups egg noodles, cooked and drained

1 cup frozen peas, thawed

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom or chicken soup

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

1 cup milk

Salt and pepper, to taste

Topping:

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons melted butter

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

★Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom or chicken soup, milk, and shredded cheese. Mix well.
  3. Add the cooked chicken (or tuna), noodles, and peas to the sauce. Season with salt and pepper, and stir until everything is well coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  5. In a separate small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan cheese, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the casserole.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
