Ingredients
- 1 kg (2 lb) mini sausages or cocktail sausages
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup honey (or maple syrup)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- A pinch of chili flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
- Place the mini sausages in a large baking tray or disposable foil pan.
- In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, mustard, garlic powder, pepper, and chili flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the sausages and toss well until fully coated.
- Bake uncovered for 35–45 minutes, stirring every 10–15 minutes so they get evenly sticky and caramelized.
- When the sauce is thick, glossy, and the sausages are browned and slightly sticky, remove from the oven.
To Serve
- Serve hot in small boxes or bowls
- Add toothpicks and watch them disappear 😋
