Ingredients

  • 1 kg (2 lb) mini sausages or cocktail sausages
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup honey (or maple syrup)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional but recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • A pinch of chili flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
  2. Place the mini sausages in a large baking tray or disposable foil pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, mustard, garlic powder, pepper, and chili flakes.
  4. Pour the sauce over the sausages and toss well until fully coated.
  5. Bake uncovered for 35–45 minutes, stirring every 10–15 minutes so they get evenly sticky and caramelized.
  6. When the sauce is thick, glossy, and the sausages are browned and slightly sticky, remove from the oven.

To Serve

  • Serve hot in small boxes or bowls
  • Add toothpicks and watch them disappear 😋
  • Perfect for parties, family gatherings, or game night
